Equipped with modern knowledge, they researched herbs, available in the wild and also cultivated in one of nature’s richest regions of Karakorum, Hindukush and Himalayan Mountain ranges, with an abundance of health benefits.

This is the period when flagship novel products of Herbion for Reproductive care (Verona) and respiratory care (Linkus) were first developed and launched. Taking a break from the competition, which relied mostly on traditional remedies without conducting any scientific studies, the products were tested for toxicological studies and the active substance in each herbal ingredient was quantitatively and qualitatively established to standardize the products and make the health benefit claims with solid evidence.

Over the next several years of trials, the developments were followed by several more innovative herbal remedies and products that proved to be highly effective and safe not just for adults but also for children of all ages. Numbers keep multiplying, modern machines and equipments were arranged.

The first major break came in the mid 1990’s when Herbion started exploring the export markets and found a niche for itself in Central Asian countries, which emerged as independent countries in the aftermath of breakup of Soviet Union.

There was no looking back. Herbion expanded its manufacturing facilities to four units operating in Karachi, Lahore and Islamabad, which got prestigious international certifications like PIC/S, a modern Research and Development Centre with over 30 Scientists from different disciplines was established, more segments.

like Nutraceuticals, Personal Care, Baby Care, Pet Care were launched and the marketing operations were spread to North America, EU, Eastern Europe, Far East and Central Asia. Herbion holds the distinction of being the first Pakistani Pharmaceutical Company to open World markets to Pakistan made quality products and has become a household name as a trusted brand for health and wellness solutions in the global markets.
